Job Description Overview:
The Night Manager consistently provides remarkable experiences for each guest that visits Chick-fil-A Jefferson Commons and Chick-fil-A Preston Highway. This position focuses on the daily operation of the restaurant through effective leadership of our team through staff positioning, hospitality, and cleanliness. This position works closely with the Director of Operations to ensure operational goals are met and that our team members are equipped and led to be successful.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
Create a high-energy atmosphere for our team, modeling a sense of urgency without making our guests feel rushed.
Lead by example, setting the standard for doing things the Chick-fil-A way.
Communicate any coaching needs to the Training team through appropriate channels
Create board setups that put aces in their places during peak times and allow growth opportunities during non-peak times
Provide coaching to team members as needed in regard to competency, character, and chemistry. Follow through with documentation of these conversations.
Advocate scheduling needs for the night shift team to the FOH director as needed
Equip Leadership
Cultivate a learning environment for team leads. Allow them opportunities to lead shifts and provide active coaching as needed.
Ensure fellow shift leaders are set up for success by completing all required tasks and leaving no unresolved issues for the next shift.
Complete post-shift walk-through for cleanliness, stocking, and overall preparation for the following shift.
Collaborate with the Night Manager and Front of House Director on areas of opportunity to ensure business growth and smooth operations.
Guest Experience
Monitor product quality to ensure that guests receive the best product through each and every transaction
Model and educate the team on hospitality measures such as Core 4 and 2nd Mile
Check in on guests throughout the shift to learn about their Chick-fil-A experience
Shift Responsibilities
Complete OneClick and ensure the shift is set up for success
Have all Drive-thru and Front counter drawers ready for the upcoming shift
Using the HEARD model, resolve guests’ issues as they arise
Make appropriate judgment calls when the store is slow or busy in reference to our current productivity goal.
Complete closing inform in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensures all closing requirements are completed by 10:45 nightly
Role Outline:
Close the Store a minimum of 3 days a week
MOD for 3 days a week during evening shifts. Other two days would serve as an assisting role to other Night Manager or work Day Shifts if availability allows.
Will report to the Director of Operations. Weekly Speed Checks will be performed based on schedules of both Night Manager and Director of Operations.
